Sean Obergfell
Hello! I’m Sean Obergfell, Lead Pastor of Believer’s Chapel, and this is my wife, Rene. She has been my greatest support and partner in life and ministry as we follow God’s calling together. We have been married since 1993 and have three grown children: Carter and his wife, Katie, Olivia and her husband, Nathan, and Ethan. God Almighty has blessed us with several grandchildren and has been so faithful to our family. From the very first year of our marriage, we have served in ministry. What a privilege it is to serve our Heavenly Father!
Stepping out in faith, I obeyed the Lord’s calling on my life when I left my passion as a full time police officer and stepped into a committed role in church ministry. It was our vision to establish a church devoted to genuine worship and the uncompromising truth of God’s Word, where God transforms lives, strengthens families led by fearless men of God, and builds a thriving church community. Since launching Believer’s Chapel in 2009 from humble beginnings, we have trusted God for a genuine move of the Holy Spirit where anyone can encounter His presence, creating a church home where people are saturated in authentic worship, practical biblical teaching, and genuine relationships.
Around here, you’ll hear laughter, fantastic music, and most likely someone debating which football team will make it to the playoffs. When I’m not at church, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, serving our community, and cheering on our favorite local sports teams.
Rene and I are blessed with an incredible team of people who faithfully serve alongside us to accomplish the vision God has given us to reach this region with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we truly believe this is only the beginning!
Brendon and Theresa Miller
Hello! We are Brendon and Theresa Miller and we have been with Believer’s Chapel since day one. We were married in October, 2006 and have three wonderful daughters who have grown up in the church and love serving alongside us.
Brendon has had the privilege of serving as Worship Leader since Believer’s Chapel began in 2009, leading our talented team of musicians with a heart for authentic worship and the presence of God. Theresa serves as our Ministry Coordinator, overseeing the day to day ministries, activities and events that keep our church running smoothly.
It has been such an incredible blessing to faithfully serve alongside one another and to personally witness God faithfully grow His church from its humble, living room beginnings. We are grateful for all that the Lord has done and look forward to being a part of what He will continue to do.
Jacob Clark
Hello! I am Jacob Clark and I have the incredible honor of serving as the Student Ministries Pastor for Believer’s Chapel’s Breakaway since 2018. I have been married to my beautiful bride, Kayla, since 2017, and together we are blessed with three amazing daughters.
I began attending Believers Chapel in late 2014 shortly after graduating high school, my family moved to Western New York. The following year while attending the Truck and Diesel Mechanic program at Alfred State, I had the privilege of volunteering with Breakaway. What began as an opportunity to serve quickly became a calling that God has continued to grow.
It is an immense blessing to lead Breakaway, to teach teens to faithfully follow the truth of God’s Word, to be a light to their generation, and to grow into confident young men and women who are unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Melissa Reiner
Hello! My name is Melissa Reiner, and my family and I have been a part of Believers Chapel since 2013. In 2017, the Lord opened the door for me to serve as Children’s Ministry Director, and it has been an incredible joy and privilege ever since.
I have the honor of leading the Children’s Ministry, planning family events and outreach opportunities that help children and families grow in their relationship with Christ Jesus. Watching young hearts come alive to God’s Word and creating an atmosphere where children are excited to come to church has been one of my greatest blessings.
As a mother of four, I have witnessed firsthand how such a Christ-centered environment nurtures spiritual growth and has invested in the next generation. As a family, we have personally reaped the benefits of being a part of this amazing church! What a blessing it has been to make church a place where every child is excited to learn about Jesus.
Albert Batt III
Hello! My name is Al, Care Pastor at Believer’s Chapel. I have been married since June 1976 and have been blessed with three wonderful daughters and seven grandchildren. Since entering ministry in 1973, it has been our joy to faithfully serve the Lord wherever He has called us.
We have been part of the Believer’s Chapel family since roughly 2010, when I began serving as Care Pastor. Before that, Pastor Sean and I had the privilege of serving together in ministry at Southside Union Chapel. It has been a blessing to watch God faithfully build His church and transform lives through His Word and His Spirit.
As Care Pastor, I have the privilege of walking alongside people through many of life’s most significant moments by officiating weddings, conducting funerals, visiting homes and hospitals, offering biblical counsel, and praying with those in need. The Lord has given me a deep love for the lost and a heart to care for His people. There is no greater blessing than seeing someone respond to the love of Christ and witnessing God change a life for His glory.
